FAQ

Do you have to share photos online? I am very private!

Absolutely NOT! During our consulation I go over model release forms. Even if at the time you give me the OKAY to share photos I would never post photos without your consent after seeing the full gallery. Once you receive your gallery you let me know of any photos you want shared or not shared again.

Why is Birth Photography so costly?

A birth photographer is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week typically from 37 weeks onward until you deliver. Some midwives in some cases allow you to go up to 42 weeks gestation. Yup, 5 weeks on call potentially! It is an incredible time commitment, and we do it because WE LOVE IT! Did you know that when you hire a wedding photographer - the date is secured for sometimes over a 18 months!? Babies have their own schedule and when I am on call everything comes to a hault!

I carry all high end photography gear that allows me to work in all kinds of birth spaces. I hand edit each photo and deliver a quality gallery that brings every emotion and every moment back.

Do I notice you in the room?

From the families that I documented I always ask afterwards, and many say never.. they can't even believe some of the photos I deliver as they didn't even know I was there! Pretty incredible that once you get into the zone you power through to bring your baby earthside!

Will you be able to provide some emotional support?!

I am not a "certified" doula, but I am human and in human nature it is typical to provide support and comfort during any times. I have a passion for child birth and have experience with working with midwives, doulas, doctors.

I have started researching which doula certification I should proceed with, so stay posted to the website.
